In July 2006 Thembeka Capital acquired 25.1% of GRW Engineering in a ground breaking BEE deal for the road tanker manufacturing sector in South Africa. The deal saw GRW Engineering become the first service provider to comply with the BEE Codes of Good Practice and comply with the Petroleum and Liquid Fuels BEE Charter.

Thembeka Capital is a significant investment company in the Paladin Capital group of companies, comprises of more than 10,000 black shareholders and has a diverse investment portfolio. Thembeka Capital holds two Non-Executive Director positions on the GRW Engineering (Pty) Ltd. Board. Mr KK Combi, the Executive Chairman of Thembeka Capital and Shameema Cassiem, the Financial Director of Thembeka Capital.

GRW Engineering is committed to meeting and exceeding all BBBEE Codes of Good Practice and is currently rated as a Level 6 contributor (or 60% BBBEE) by an accredited rating company: EMEX
